Innovetive Petcare and our family of animal clinics are joining the 100 Million Mask Challenge to help alleviate the shortage of surgical masks affecting both the human and veterinary medical communities. These easy-to-make cotton surgical masks are washable and reusable. Through the #millionmaskchallenge, our clients, families and friends can help keep medical staff safe and functioning while working on the front lines of the COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic.
Understand the difference in surgical masks according to the CDC guidelines and learn how to easily make masks through a step-by-step pictorial or video how-to.
To establish the best method for you to drop off masks for use at either our practices, sister clinics, or human healthcare counterparts, please contact the Knoxville Veterinary Medical Association (KVMA) by e-mail at kvmapresident@gmail.com, through their Facebook event page, or contact your local Innovetive Petcare animal clinic.
The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) recently released guidelines for use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during the COVID-19 pandemic when demand exceeds supply. Veterinarians may need to use more than one control strategy outlined in the AVMA guidelines to limit exposure for doctors and staff.
