From Campaigns to Public Relations, Marketing Earns 3 Medals
The North American Veterinary Community (“NAVC”) announced the winners of their prestigious VETTY Awards at this year’s 2023 VMX conference in Orlando, Florida, with the Marketing department claiming 1 gold medal and 2 silver medals for their work in veterinary marketing and advertising.
The VETTY Awards is the only competition dedicated to recognize marketing excellence in the animal healthcare industry. Each year, veterinary industry marketing teams and agencies across the globe are invited to submit their projects for consideration. Eligible work must have been produced between January 1, 2022, and November 15, 2022. Entries this year came from a wide variety of fields, including advertising, digital, social, design, public relations, educational materials, and promotions from companies in pet pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, advocacy groups, pet food, professional associations, architectural design, and more. A panel of marketing professionals then chose the work they deemed the most impressive.
With over 260 entries, NAVC’s CEO, Gene O’Neill, commented on the stiff competition this year: “There were so many wonderfully innovative and creative entries this year. There is a reason that the VETTY Awards remain a highlight of our annual VMX conference. Each one of the competing organizations this year demonstrated the vitality of the animal health industry.”
The Innovetive Petcare Marketing team, comprised of nine team members from creative to digital, showcased their industry marketing expertise in Specialty/Emergency, Boarding and Public Relations campaigns.

This case study examined the effectiveness of the transformative digital partnership between Innovetive Petcare and the global social media platform Hootsuite. The campaign highlighted various social media and public relations strategies working seamlessly together to tell the story of Innovetive Petcare optimizing state-of-the-art digital marketing tools for their clinics.
This sleek, professional collateral – comprised of a 2-pocket folder enclosing service offerings and a DVM biography flyer – was created to target primary careveterinarians, showcasing their specialty services to drive referrals to their hospital.
“Pack Your Bags” Boarding Campaign — SILVER MEDAL
This fun, whimsical boarding campaign was designed to align pet owners’ love of travel with driving awareness of worry-free, overnight boarding stays at Innovetive Petcare veterinary clinics. Boarding passports paired with travel stickers and other digital assets created an eye-catching and unique campaign for Innovetive Petcare practices.
