IPC Welcomes 3 New Dallas Area Locations
Innovetive Petcare is excited to welcome another elite team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff through our partnership with Highland Park Animal Hospital, Vickery Place Animal Hospital, and Canine Country Club!
Highland Park Animal Hospital is one of the most iconic and well-respected veterinary practices located in a highly desirable neighborhood of Dallas, TX. With community roots that span over six decades, Highland Park Animal Hospital has even been recognized by The American Veterinary Medical History Society as a heritage practice. Adding Vickery Place Animal Hospital made sense as the practice continued to evolve. Although they’re less than a mile apart as the crow flies, each location serves its unique clientele. These innovative general practices are further complemented by Canine Country Club, the area’s finest pet boarding, dog grooming, and wellness center.
A native of the area, Dr. John Vandermeer joined Highland Park Animal Hospital shortly after graduating from veterinary school. He has been serving the pet owners of Highland Park for over 32 years, the last 25 of which were under his leadership.
After getting his feet wet in ownership, Dr. Vandermeer established Canine Country Club, which is comprised of two facilities: the Country Club Retreat in Ennis, TX, and the adjoining Urban Oasis Dallas Day Spa.
Dr. Amanda Henry joined Highland Park Animal Hospital as an associate in 2007 and worked her way up to partner in 2016. A year later, Highland Park Animal Hospital relocated to its current home, a 13,500 sq ft state-of-the-art, multi-level facility. Dr. Vandermeer’s aspirations of expansion persisted, and in 2006 he and his wife, Dr. Wendy Dearixon, had the opportunity to open their second location, Vickery Place Animal Hospital.
Dr. Vandermeer observed Innovetive Petcare’s partnership with a neighboring practice, Metro Paws Animal Hospital, for over three years. A recent collaboration with West Hills Animal Hospital’s family of practices in New York also rekindled interest in Dr. Vandermeer as he sought a partner. Through many conversations with colleagues, Drs. Kathryn Sarpong and Alan Coren, alongside Raymond James as the exclusive financial advisor, Dr. Vandermeer, decided that Innovetive Petcare was also the right fit for the Highland Park family of practices.
