IPC Welcomes Cobb Animal Clinic in North Carolina
In the lush Piedmont Triad Region of Central North Carolina, just a short drive from the Appalachian Mountains and the beautiful beaches of the Atlantic Ocean, rests the city of Greensboro. Called “The Gate City” for its historical gateway access for transportation and trade, and “Tournament Town” for hosting well-known athletic tournaments, there is no shortage of appeal in this city. The city is well-known for its rich history from both the Revolutionary War and the Sit-In Movement. With an array of prominent universities and colleges, a variety of beautiful landscapes, and a unique culinary and arts scene, Greensboro serves as a melting pot for professionals of all ages.
Greensboro was the perfect location to add another Innovetive Petcare partner to our family of practices. Dr. Mark Whitley and his amazing team at Cobb Animal Clinic comprise a stand-out veterinary hospital located in the robust and affluent Battleground Corridor, off the new I-840 Urban Loop. The clinic borders a large park situated on 400 acres inclusive of a Bark Park, Veteran’s Memorial, fishing areas and miles of hiking and bike trails. Other local attractions include the Steven Tanger Performing Arts Center for Off Broadway performances, the Greensboro Science Center, and the Greensboro Grasshoppers minor league baseball team.
For almost 60 years, Cobb Animal Clinic has been a staple in the Guilford County community, offering state-of-the-art veterinary care in a unique, multi-faceted, 6,342 sq. ft. facility.
Dr. Mark Whitley came to the practice in 1985 and took sole ownership in 2006. He is a past President of the Guilford County Medical Association and a member of the AVMA, NCVMA, and the NC Small Academy. Cobb Animal Clinic has been voted top veterinary practice multiple times throughout the years in various publications. This impressive team is well known for their high-quality standard of care in medicine and surgery, and quality culture with impeccable bedside manner. Cobb’s talented team of six veterinarians offer 100 years of combined experience and their two groomers offer 25 years of combined experience. Their impressive practice manager, Jessica Spradlin, began her animal health career at Cobb 20 years ago.
Cobb was first introduced to Innovetive Petcare through longtime rapport with Terri Lambe, Regional Business Development Manager. They were seeking a veterinary partner for an exit strategy due to impending future retirement. They wanted to ensure employees were well provided for, while leaving them with elevated support, benefits, and opportunities. In their own words, they were:
“Appreciative of the accommodating nature, understanding, and professionalism exhibited by everyone we encountered at Innovetive during this complex process. Everyone encountered thus far has been nothing short of kind, compassionate, and professional. We were impressed by Innovetive’s willingness to match our current employee benefits and ensure everyone felt heard and taken care of. Terri Lambe and Paul Covill were extremely helpful and patient during all phases, even when it was not always easy. Deb Kampschnieder and Emily Pease have been impeccable during the onboarding phase, and we’re so appreciative of their assistance!”
We always enjoy working with our broker referral partners (when sellers opt to do so) in navigating the journey with potential suitable partners. We appreciate the opportunity and always enjoy getting to work with their elected broker, Carly Watson Tobler and Evan Watson of Simmons Southeast.
