The IPC Difference: Making Waves
We asked owner, Dr. Nicholas Weldon of Dade County Animal Hospital, “Why Innovetive?”
“My practice has grown significantly over the last few years and it was becoming more obvious that I needed help to manage the growth. Innovetive takes a different approach starting the first day; it is a synergistic partnership. Everyone on the Innovetive team is very easy to work with beginning with their Business Development team Elizabeth Gibson and Lisa Clark. Later in the process, I was very impressed with our onboarding with Deb Kampschnieder and Paul Covill. The team is very organized and prepared for every meeting and phone call including having the answers for anything I ask!”
We welcome Dade County Animal Hospital, a 3,500 square foot, 3 doctor, four exam room practice located in Wildwood, GA.
Originally opening its doors in 1978, Dade County Animal Hospital’s current Medical Director and Co-Owner, Dr. Nick Weldon, has overseen its growth for 11 years. Previously offering both large and small animal veterinary services, Dade County Animal Hospital is now small animal exclusive. They offer a wide variety of veterinary professional services, including general medicine, preventive medicine, radiography, ultrasound, in-house diagnostics, spay and neuter, soft-tissue surgery, digital x-rays, daytime emergencies, boarding (8 outdoor runs, 8 indoor runs, 10 small kennels), bathing, and nail trims. Specialized services include orthopedic surgery (including CCL repair and bone plating), and fracture repair. Wildwood, GA is close to the Tennessee state line and the Chattanooga city limits, and is considered part of the Chattanooga metropolitan area. It sits in the diagonal valley between Sand Mountain and Lookout Mountain, which run through all of Dade County and home to most of its population.
We are excited to proudly welcome Dr. Weldon and his entire team at Dade County Animal Hospital!

This October, we also welcome West Houston Veterinary Medical Associates, a 6,000 sq. ft. veterinary practice to the Innovetive Petcare family!
Located just 20 miles west of Houston’s city center, West Houston Veterinary Medical Associates was founded in 1978 by Dr. Mark Gochenour one-year after graduating from Texas A&M University. Dr. Randy Tonking became partner in 1982. In 2001, Dr. Gochenour and Dr. Tonking, and now joined by associate, Dr. Thane Boyce, moved West Houston Veterinary Medical Associates to its current Briar Forest address. West Houston Veterinary Medical Associates is a full-service dog and cat veterinary hospital that also provides their clients boarding and grooming services. Pairing their gold standard of medicine with a unique, “glassed” room allows ultrasound and echocardiogram procedures to be visible by clients. It is no surprise West Houston Veterinary Medical Associates has been a “Nextdoor” Favorite three years in a row (2017 – 2019)!
When asked, “Why Partner with Innovetive Petcare?” West Houston Veterinary Medical Associates speak highly of their relationship with Innovetive team members, Stephen Tracey and Nikki Wilkinson because it was important they, “partner with a Company who cares about veterinary medicine and is not just another corporate entity!”
Please welcome both West Houston Veterinary Medical Associates and Dade County Animal Hospital to the #InnovetiveDifference!
